Exclusive First: NGF screen shots from Sept 21, 2000 at the Jamma Show.

AS usual, NGF has the first pics and the exclusive story behind the NEW game cartridge coming to the NeoGeo systems.
All of these pictures were taken on September 21, 2000 at the JAMMA show that was held at the Tokyo Big Site in Japan. The JAMMA show is a special "invite only" show only for industry guests. NGF was fortunate enough to be invited to the show to witness, first hand, some of the great new games/machines being offered by ARUZE, and featuring many of the SNK/NeoGeo games.

Upon arriving at the booth, we were overwhelmed when we saw sneak peaks at many of the upcoming games that were slated for a possible release.
The games that shocked us were Ghostlop and Nightmare in the Dark. We have known about Nightmare in the Dark for close to 3 years, and Ghostlop for 4 years, but we had given up hope as to whether these and other older titles would ever be released. Once we saw these games in person, we were excited beyond comprehension. The main title being displayed and that had a huge crowd around it was KoF2000, but to NGF, NitD and Ghostlop were more important because we knew KoF2000 was already released. Our efforts and questions were all directed at the game scheduled for a possible soon release if approved, and that was Nightmare in the Dark

We didn't want to post too much news too soon, so all we did was drop the name back on September 24, 2000.  Many people didn't believe it, but now since the game is confirmed, we are posting the pics we took. We are now talking and are under consideration to bring this excellent action game to the consumer market on the AES format in conjunction with SNK and Aruze. Feedback from fellow NeoGeoFreaks, fans, and gamers are welcomed. If we can get enough preorders in, we will bring this game out to all the lucky Neo fans. As of now, all retailers have stopped supporting the NeoGeo AES, because they want to move onto the "next generation systems." NGF will keep supporting the NeoGeo AES as long as we can. We will handle orders direct to make the turn-around faster for everyone still collecting and willing to support the NeoGeo AES console. We have been steadily growing and expanding our customer/fan base over the last 4 years. In this past years we have gone further then we had ever expected we would and we're now actually having games made direct from SNK for NGF to distribute. We want to keep this commitment going for the fans. Please show your support and keep it....NeoGeo Forever!!!!

send your emails for the production of Nightmare in the Dark to us at NightmareAES@neogeofreak.com

To this day a full production run of Nightmare in the Dark has never been made by NeoGeoFreak and Aruze/SNK. The good news is that we are still considering making a small "conversion run" for all the serious NeoGeoFreaks, collectors, and fans. - July, 2001.
